My first couple in Erfurt
This was the first couple I had the opportunity to photograph in Erfurt. It was wonderful shooting with them in the city, and we moved quickly from location to location to give them a variety of photos.
I find that most couples prefer candid shots, so I didn't give too much direction and simply captured the moments as they naturally interacted with each other. Initially, it can feel like you're invading their space, but ultimately, you're there to capture their connection. When they ran out of ideas, I would occasionally offer a suggestion, but for the most part, the session flowed naturally. Now I wouldn't recommend this approach for all couples but depending the couple it can work for them.
I thought their outfits complemented the locations we chose. I liked the grays and reds they wore, which harmonized beautifully with the city's architecture. Although their clothes weren't intentionally matched to the locations, the result was pleasantly cohesive.
Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I was pleased with how the photos turned out. Thank you to this lovely couple for allowing me to capture these special moments!
